Leadership Behind the Scenes
As cadets grow in experience and demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and specialized talents, they are assigned to one of four S-Shops (Service Shops).
Working alongside instructors and Booster parents, these cadet-led staff sections are responsible for many of the behind-the-scenes operations that keep our program organized, prepared, and successful.
Leadership Through Experience
S-Shop members gain valuable hands-on experience in learning what it takes to successfully operate an organization from end to end—an opportunity rarely found in other high school activities.
By taking ownership of real responsibilities, cadets develop leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and accountability while helping manage the daily operations of the JROTC program.
Along the way, many discover talents and interests they never knew they had. This not only provides cadets with newfound confidence, but possible insight toward post-secondary careers.

Maintains personnel records, manages administrative tasks, and helps ensure cadet information and documentation remain accurate and organized.
S-2 | Supply & Logistics
Oversees equipment accountability, inventory management, and supply operations, ensuring cadets have the resources they need to train and compete successfully.
S-3 | Operations & Planning
Coordinates community service projects, special events, training activities, and armory management, helping organize many of the experiences that define the program.
S-4 | Public Affairs & Recruitment
Works with instructors and the Booster Club to promote the program through social media, recruitment efforts, public presentations, marketing materials, and community outreach. Cadets also help present quarterly updates to the Board of Education, developing valuable public speaking and communication skills.
S-Shops provide cadets with meaningful leadership experience that extends far beyond the classroom.
By managing real responsibilities and serving alongside their peers, cadets develop the confidence, professionalism,
and organizational skills that prepare them for college, careers, entrepreneurship,
military, public service, and leadership opportunities throughout life.
